The problem

You're losing bids to companies with bigger teams.

Not because they clean better — because they bid faster and look more expensive.

01

The math is fuzzy.

You spend 4 hours per bid, guessing at hours, padding the price, hoping it sticks. Every bid feels like a coin flip.

02

The proposal looks cheap.

It's a Google Doc with your logo on top. The building manager's already moved on to the next email before they finish reading it.

03

You forget to follow up.

The bid goes cold. Three weeks pass. You meant to send a "just checking in" — you never did. The work goes to whoever did.

The wedge

Two things that must be amazing.
They are.

01 · The calculator

Your numbers, your calculator.

Wage, overhead, profit, productivity by task, consumables per square foot, region. Save five profiles. Switch mid-bid. Compare what-ifs. The math stops being a guess.

↑ save 3 hrs per bid
02 · The PDF

A proposal that closes.

Branded cover page. Your logo. Their building. Every line item, the workloading math, terms, signature line. Looks like it came from a $10K/year agency.

How it works

Three steps.
Under fifteen minutes.

STEP 01

Tell us about the building.

Address, square footage, number of rooms, surfaces, frequency. For residential: bedrooms, bathrooms, add-ons. Tidy stores it; you'll never type it twice.

STEP 02

Tidy does the math.

Your price profile → workloading + consumables + price + margin. Adjust on the fly. Compare two profiles side by side. The bid drafts itself.

STEP 03

Send the PDF. Track the bid. Reopen the lost one.

Branded proposal lands in their inbox. You see when they open it. Stale-bid follow-up auto-fires at day 3, 7, 14. Win, lose, or no-answer — and if it's a loss, one click reopens it as a fresh draft with all the line items and history intact.

The differentiator

Lost the bid?
It's not over.

Every other bid tool treats "lost" as a graveyard. We treat it as a draft. One click reopens a lost bid as a fresh draft — same line items, same history, same price profile. You tweak the price, the scope, or the terms, then re-send. The old lifecycle stays in the audit log so you know what changed.

And on the prospect side: when a prospect goes cold, a popup shows you the latest bid, the last status, and a one-click re-engage button that moves them back to "new" in the pipeline. Context for the next conversation, not a blank slate.

  • 01
Lost → draft, line items preserved. No retyping. No copying. Re-price, re-send, keep moving.
  • 02
Prospect re-engage, one click. Popup → "Re-engage" → back to "new" in the pipeline. Stale prospects don't sit there.
  • 03

What's in v1

Per-user price profiles

5+ profiles per account. Commercial and residential task taxonomies, both ready. What-if comparison built in.

FLAGSHIP

Branded PDFs

Cover, line items, workloading math, terms, signature. Looks like an agency.

Bid pipeline

Five states — draft, sent, viewed, won, lost. Open tracking. And if the bid loses, one click reopens it as a fresh draft with line items and history intact. Nobody else does that.

CRM, no bloat

Customers from won bids. Prospects from your intake form. Kanban pipeline. Notes, contacts, basic email log. That's it.

Invoicing + Stripe

Auto-generated from a won bid. Branded invoice PDF. Card payments. Pay-by-link, no login required for the customer.

Auto follow-up

Day 3, 7, 14 stale-bid nudge. You write the email once; Tidy sends it.

Mobile-first PWA

Works on any device. Install to homescreen. No app store. No downloads.

And we're not done.

Scheduling, timekeeping, checklists, QC inspections, native iOS for crews, and more bidding modules (carpet, windows, post-construction) are all on the v2/v3 roadmap. We ship them when the beta cohort tells us to.

FAQ

Honest answers.

What does the free tier actually include?
Today, during private beta: every operator gets the full product free while we shape v1 with you. After the trial window, the free tier is one user, one org, three active bids per month, watermark-free PDFs, and a public invoice pay-by-link — keep it forever, no 14-day trial that yells at you. The paid tiers (Solo / Pro / Business) start at $59/mo for unlimited bids, five price profiles, and the full CRM + invoicing + Stripe.
Can I bring my data in from CleanGuru / Jobber / a spreadsheet?
Yes. Drop a CSV of bids into /app/import and Tidy auto-creates the customers, buildings, and price profiles that don't exist yet — one import seeds the whole pipeline. The CSV format is documented on the import page; CleanGuru and Jobber both export to that shape. A standalone customer / prospect / profile import (without going through a bid) is the next import we ship — currently you add those one at a time in the app.
Do you integrate with QuickBooks?
Not in v1. The deep two-way sync (customers + invoices + payments) is the v3 build. Right now we do the part that doesn't need QuickBooks: every paid invoice triggers a Stripe receipt email with the customer, amount, and invoice number — your bookkeeper can match payments to deposits. Good enough for the operator; not good enough for the accountant, which is exactly why v3 exists.
Is there a mobile app?
Tidy v1 is a responsive web app — the same URL works on any device's browser, layout adapts to phone / tablet / desktop. There's no app to download from an app store. A proper install-to-homescreen PWA (and a native iOS app for the field crew, once scheduling + timekeeping + checklists ship) are on the v2 roadmap alongside the features that actually need a native shell.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You own it. Today, the way out is the API — every entity in Tidy has a read endpoint (bids, customers, prospects, buildings, invoices, payments, profiles) that returns JSON, so a power user can curl everything in a few minutes. A one-click in-app export (zipped JSON + CSV bundle) plus a 30-day cancellation grace window with a hard-delete cron are shipping together in v1.1. The promise: you get your data out, no hostage-taking, ever — and the in-app export closes the "you have to be technical" gap.
